Creating a poster series for a Travel Expo event in Chicago, based around the idea of travel as a tangible and memorable experience. This brief took an offscreen approach, which involved handcrafting the imagery in the posters. The imagery reflects on the experience of constantly finding sand in your pocket after a trip to the beach. The idea is that much like the sand, the memorable experiences made will linger around as well. The objects in these posters are also meant to reflect on specific locations, which are Goa, India and Oshima, Japan, which represents the accumulation made throughout travelling. The design approach is inspired by editorial adverts from the late 1980s to early 1990s, in order to evoke a nostalgic association with travel.
