NOMAD
Nomad is a contemporary travel magazine that focuses on highlighting destinations around the world that are hidden and unconventional. The aim of this brief was to design a cover and spread for the first issue, and communicate a sense of grandeur and majesty to these undiscovered locations, breaking away from the conventional travel magazine through its alternative approach in showcasing them. The spread in this issue showcases the Nam Ou river in Laos. The use of large-scale imagery with vibrant and contrasting colour schemes in the design aims to create a bold impression of the location, as well as emphasising a sense of wonder and isolation to the viewer.
